My ex set himself up a lot of red flags but me being naive didn’t see it until years later. My brother in law had to get emergency surgery at the VA and my sister had been at the hospital all day, so I wanted to go check on her and bring her food around 9pm. My ex proceeded to tell me that he didn’t want me to go, and once we got married he would take away my keys and lock me inside our house to keep me safe. Dudes be wild.
